I worked as a school librarian for about 8 years and loved it. I enjoyed the interaction with pupils and the jousting with staff and SMTs to get them to pay attention. Our libraries featured on TV programmes, radio, press and in professional journals.
I wanted to pass on these tips for those coming into the professsion, or who are unsure about what Web 2.0 and Library 2.0 are all about. Each tip should have a ‘little extra’ as an actual document or guide, or in the form of weblinks for further information.

The categories are split roughly into three categories: traditional skills, CPD and new technologies. There are four ways to find things: browse the tags cloud, browse the archives, search or use the Tips Index (thanks to Judi Jagger, Perth Australia, for that suggestion).

I would like to post 101 tips and files by June 2008. Comments are welcome, the more the merrier.
I hope you find something useful here!

I currently work as the Learning Technologies Manager at Perth College, which is part of the University of the Highlands and Islands.
